Therefore It Is part 2

In 1917 Duchamp made a drastic display of the notion that if you say something is art then therefore it is art.
Duchamp was influenced by the anti art and anti authority movement of the early 1900's. His artwork is consider by many as a major landmark in art history, and is considered some of the mosts influential work in the 20th century.
His most well known story is when head produced a work called The Fountain, which was basically a urinal in display at a museum. Critics had a blast with this one. For obvious reason. Duchamp's ideas were clearly presented in this, whatever you call art, is art. So would a Urinal displayed in a gallery be considered art? I guess so, it makes you think on a higher plane doesn't it?
