Kandinsky is the founder of abstract art. His works are wholly on the abstract level. In the early 1960's abstract art didn't exist. Expressionistic paintings were what got you into the art world, but in order to make your mark in the world you have t do something new and creative. Picasso's cubism was still in the works and still popular in how it wasn't tradictional. It made the public aware of other forms of art.
This made the public more assuming a towards abstract art. It wasn't cmpletely excepted then or even now by the general public. His works take things and portray the artists emotions and what he or she is feeling rather then t reflect something that was seen or once was seen.
