Graffiti

My opinions on graffiti are really varied. From a teenager's point of view its pretty much one of the things that are 'wicked cool' and is just a part of youth culture and street culture. As someone who is trying to understand art it is an expression of name and a noble experimentation of linework and color. Okay, maybe not completely noble, but it proves commitment to the set, and that's something to at least consider.
Whoever says that all graffiti is the work of gangs is wrong to an extent. People who say it's all drug related as well. Culture has changed that in the past decades and now people who paint graffiti and are known for it aren't known as criminals. That is, besides the obvious trespassing and vandalism charges that come naturally if course. One thing that it does do is turn heads, it's a form of art that commits itself to being noticed.
